Osun State chapter of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, has asked organised labour to demand from the state government an implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, on wage award it signed with the Federal Government.

This was contained in a letter signed by the Osun CDHR chairman, Emmanuel Olowu and addressed to the chairpersons of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC, and Joint Negotiation Council, JNC, on Monday.

recalls that on October 2, 2023, organised labour signed an MoU with the Federal Government, part of which is the implementation of the thirty five thousand Naira wage award to all Federal Civil Servants. In the letter, obtained by , the Osun CDHR also said the appeal became necessary so that the state can fast track the necessary protocols and implement the wage award meant to mitigate the subsidy removal pains.
