Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese says voters will look “with some scepticism” towards Clive Palmer’s election campaign.
It comes after United Australia Party Chairman Clive Palmer announced he intended to spend $70 million in total on the upcoming federal election campaign.
Mr Albanese said various state governments had introduced measures to prevent any abuse in the election process. “The fact that an individual can spend $70 million on an election campaign is a distortion of our democracy,” he said.
