Villarreal president, Fernando Roig, has cast doubt over AC Milan’s interest in Samuel Chukwueze despite the Rossoneri reportedly offering €25m, including add-ons for the Nigerian winger, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
While Roig admits Milan’s offer is far from the valuation of the player, he believes further talks are needed between both clubs to try and close out an agreement.
According to him, Villarreal will discuss transfers for the former Diamond Academy player if his asking price of €35m is met.“But if the interest is the same as when they came for Mateo Musacchio. On that occasion Galliani came and said ‘I want the player, but I have no money’, then we ate fideuà and went home.
“We are making the movements that the market allows us. The premise is to have a better team than last year. I am happy with the situation.”
