Head Coach of the Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum, yesterday, announced the 23 players who will each earn a minimum of $30,000 (N15 million) for participating in the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.

That amount is for players whose teams are eliminated from the first round. They get more as their teams progress. No Super Falcons player has ever earned $30,000 in a tournament before. If they succeed in winning the cup, all 23 members of the will take home $270,000, part of a $110 million total prize pool that is roughly 300 percent higher than what FIFA offered for the 2019 tournament
There is also first choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, as well as defenders Osinachi Ohale and Oluwatosin Demehin, midfielders Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe, and forwards Esther Okoronkwo and Desire Oparanozie.
