The Vice Chancellor of McPherson University, Seriki-Sotayo, Ogun State, Prof. Francis Igbasan, has said issues facing the country’s educational system are the result of the poor relationship between the public and the educational system.
McPherson University is a private institution established by the Foursquare Gospel Church and licensed in 2012.
Igbasan made the statement on Tuesday while fielding questions from journalists during a press conference on the institution’s convocation scheduled between November 14 and 20, 2022. The don said, “What is lacking today in this country is because the university system and the public are too far apart. It is a system like that of town and gown. If a farmer is having a problem, he should visit the university for knowledge, but this is not the case in this country. This kind of situation does not happen in developed countries.”
