The United States has warned its citizens about the possibility of terror attacks in South Africa. The US issued a security alert on Wednesday. In the alert posted on its website, the US Embassy in South Africa said Johannesburg stands a high risk of attack between October 29th and 30th, 2022. Johannesburg is the country’s biggest megacity and chief industrial and financial metropolis. It advised Americans in the city to avoid all non-essential travel or movement, stay alert, avoid crowds, and follow local news and the advice of security authorities.
