The Nation Newspaper UPDATED: Three die in Kano building collapse
The total number of victims was not yet certain as of press time but eyewitnesses said at least 11 persons might have been trapped under the rubble.
NEMA Kano Territorial Coordinator, Dr Nuradeen Abdullahi, said NEMA received a distress call at about 9:20 am from a good Samaritan that a three story building under construction collapsed at Kuntau Quarters.“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene,” he said, explaining that five people were rescued and taken to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.
