Kogi State has recorded a new case of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to three,Data released by the centre showed that the three cases are active in the sta
te – no death, no recovery.
The NCDC said, “On the 3rd of June 2020, 348 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria.A breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as of May 4, 2020 “Till date, 11166 cases have been confirmed, 3329 cases have been discharged and 315 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The 348 new cases are reported from 19 states- Lagos , FCT , Ebonyi , Rivers , Delta , Nasarawa , Niger , Enugu, Bauchi , Edo, Ekiti , Ondo , Gombe , Benue, Ogun , Osun , Plateau , Kogi , Anambra .”Following the announcement of the index cases, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, declared a two-week lockdown in the Kabba Local Government Area of the state to allow for contact tracing.
