Three persons have died, and several others injured following an accident involving Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicles in the Ketu area of Lagos State. The incident occurred at about 6.53am, inward Mile 12 on Wednesday. According to the spokesman of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) Adebayo Taofiq, the accident was due to a brake failure from a red bus. Red buses are operated by Asset Management Company under a public private partnership to compliment the services of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), in Lagos.

Taofiq explained that preliminary investigations showed that the brake failure resulted in the bus ramming into a commercial bus.
