KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Tenaga Malaysia (Uniten) electrical engineering expert Prof Dr MA Hannan has been recognised as one of the most influential scientists in the engineering in the world by Clarivate Analytics, based on the Highly Cited Researchers 2022 report.
Uniten said, in a statement, that the recognition was based on the publication of his significant research in the field of renewable energy engineering as well as being listed in the top 1% of citations over a period of 11 years from January 2011 to December 2021.
"Prof Hannan has consistently published 255 articles in the Web of Science index with a total of 7,911 citations," the statement read. Meanwhile, Uniten vice-chancellor Prof Dr Noor Azuan Abu Osman said the success puts Uniten on the global stage in scientific research excellence and brings pride to the university and the country. - Bernama
