UK downgrades COVID-19 alert level, reopens businesses Tuesday
The coronavirus disease alert level has been downgraded from four to three, Sputnik reports.
This means the disease is still in general circulation, although the risk of high or exponential transmission has diminished. Johnson is expected to announce a reduction in the two-metre social distancing rule and plans for the reopening of businesses on Tuesday.The UK leader will also update parliament on the next stage of lockdown easing and whether pubs, restaurants and hotels could reopen from 4 July.
