AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, has been charged by UEFA for insulting and abusive language during and after his side’s Europa League final defeat against Sevilla on Thursday.
Mourinho was infuriated with referee Anthony Taylor throughout the Europa League final at Puskas Arena Park in Hungary. The former Chelsea and Manchester United coach was furious with decisions made by Taylor as his side lost 4-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.The details of the charge are yet to be disclosed, but Mourinho’s actions during the final have drawn criticism.released after the match directing expletive remarks toward Taylor in the car park at the stadium.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan gaffer later went on to blast the referee’s performance, saying : “I must say we are used to it, but seeing this kind of refereeing in a European final is really, really hard.”
