UEFA slammed City a two-year ban from the Champions League and other European competitions on Friday.This will happen if a separate Premier League investigation were to find that they had breached financial rules, which the club had already denied.The period under investigation would appear to be from 2012 to 2016, as that is when UEFA’s CFCB states that the club overstated their sponsorship income.

If the appeal fails, it could also lead to a players’ exodus and speaking on this situation, ex-England star and BT pundit, Jermaine Jenas said: “From a player’s point of view… that’s not my fault as a player…”
