Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modrić has said Carlo Ancelotti deserves to continue as the team’s coach despite their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reported that City knocked reigning champions, Madrid out of the European elite competition at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to Bernardo Silva’s first-half brace and second half goals from Manuel Akanji and Julián Álvarez. Speaking shortly after the match, Modrić insisted that Ancelotti deserves to stay at the club beyond this season.Meanwhile, Ancelotti has expressed confidence that he would continue as Madrid’s coach.
