Nurses working at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Thursday resumed at their duty posts, wearing mufti instead of their uniforms. DAILY POST gathered that the nurses under the umbrella of
National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives , decided to wear mufti due to the non-payment of their uniform allowance by the management of the hospital.
learnt that the nurses are demanding the payment of their accumulated four years uniform allowance. A staff of the hospital, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that the management of the hospital has not been paying the allowances since 2019. Our correspondent learnt on Saturday that the nurses had earlier given the management of the hospital 21-day-ultimatum to pay the outstanding allowances.
