Two suspects have been handed over to the police in Anambra State for allegedly vandalizing facilities belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution PLC

DAILY POST reports that the suspects were identified as Odom Sunday, a native of Ozara in Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State and Okwuchukwu Nweze, of Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State.

EEDC Head of Corporate Communications, Mr. Emeka Ezeh, who confirmed the arrests, decried the incessant attacks on the company’s power installations across the South East. He lamented the increasing rate of vandalization of the company’s power facilities, describing it as worrisome. Ezeh added that “Almost on a daily basis our substations are attacked and this has caused a retrogression in the quality of service delivery to our customers”.
