Police are now asking for anyone with information to come forward
Police are appealing for witnesses after the second suspected arson attack in as many weeks at a property in a village. Officers were called to a four-bedroom house on Melton Road in Stanton-on-the-Wolds in the early hours of Sunday, July 7.
The fire on Sunday, July 7 caused severe damage to three upstairs bedrooms and the roof of the house. Firefighters attended and extinguished the blaze, with a structural engineer called to make the property safe. Detective Sergeant Katie Hurrell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I am aware that this incident has caused considerable concern in the local community and I would like to reassure residents we are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry to establish the full circumstances, including reviewing CCTV footage. Residents in the area may see an increased police presence over the coming days providing reassurance and advice following this latest incident.
