Almost 11,000 voters will switch electorates across the Territory under draft electoral changes, while two major seats are given Indigenous names.

Under the electoral commission's proposal released this morning, Nhulunbuy will be renamed Mulka and Stuart will be renamed Gwoya. The Redistribution Committee has also suggested that Coconut Grove electors in Fannie Bay move to Johnston and Nightcliff, while Katherine loses a number of its rural and remote electors to Arnhem.
