The Rivers State Ministry of Health has confirmed that two more persons have died as a result of Lassa fever infection.
The two persons reportedly died on Sunday, January 26 and Monday, January 27, 2020, barely one week after one person died at the Specialist Hospital in Irrua, Edo State.
She said, “There was a case. It happened in the night and the person passed away. The sample was sent to Irrua and that is one of the positive cases. “The families of the late persons are also under surveillance. The drugs are available and we have a lot of them that have been procured by the Rivers State Government.
