It was gathered that the accident occurred as a result of a speed violation and loss of control.
The state Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Frederick Ogidan, who confirmed the incident, cautioned drivers to always obey speed limits.
The FRSC boss said, “A Mitsubishi commercial space bus with registration number SHA 784 XH with four passengers somersaulted around the NARTO area on Ilorin Airport/Eyenkorin express road at 7.50 pm while the Road Safety Corps got to the place within 15 minutes of the occurrence.” Ogidan said those injured were taken to Kwara State General Hospital, Ilorin, while the corpses of the two dead persons were deposited in the morgue of the same hospital. All rights reserved.
