Threads, a text-based app tied to Instagram was launched by Meta on Wednesday. The app garnered over 30 million people less than 24 hours after its launch.
1. There is no paid verification on Threads for now, as there is on Musk’s version of Twitter. But, those with blue ticks on Instagram have that verification carried over on to Threads.
3. You can’t delete your Threads profile without deleting your Instagram account unlike Twitter which isn’t linked to any other app. 5. Threads isn’t globally available yet. Threads is unavailable in European Union countries right now as the app has not been released in the region because of “complexities with complying with some of the laws coming into effect next year,” apparently a reference to the EU’s Digital Markets Act.Threads is currently only available as a mobile app, while Twitter can be accessed on both mobile and desktop devices.
