The troops of Forward Operating Base (FOB) have arrested a notorious bandit kingpin identified as Jabi Ruwa in Sokoto.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication, the troop, who were assisted by local guides stormed the hideout on Friday and arrested Ruwa and 4 of his members at Dambala village.In another development, troops ofcleared bandits’ enclaves at Sangeko, Kabugu Lamba, Kaboro and Mairairai villages at Maru LGA in Zamfara.During the operation, the troops came in contact with armed bandits who eventually fled due to the superior firepower of the military.
The report confirmed that the armed men that confronted the troops are disciples of one Alhaji Iluader, another notorious bandit in the area.
