Tributes have been paid to a grandad with a 'big loving heart' who was mauled to death by an XL bully earlier this week . David Daintree was found dead at his home in Ashley Court in Accrington on Tuesday following reports of a dog attacking someone inside the property shortly before 9.30pm. The dog was shot when armed officers arrived, with fears it posed a 'significant threat of serious harm” to more people, Lancashire Police confirmed.
'He would help anyone including people he didn’t know, and he has done that on a number of occasions. He was a brilliant grandad, dad, husband and he will be missed by so many people. At least now your back with your Shazza and you can get back to drinking your Bacardi and cokes together.
