Over 431 graduates of Education, University of Uyo have been inducted into the teaching profession by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria .
Essien who said that some people have erroneously regarded teaching as a job for all comers noted that giving its complexities teaching is now the most difficultRepresented by the deputy vice chancellor Academics, Professor Nyaudo Enoidem Essien, he described teaching profession as one of the most complex work that require proper re-orientation as its impact is always felt by both students and parents.
He therefore urged the inductees to imbibe the ethics of honesty especially when not too sure of solution to a problem.in the teaching profession, you must not only conform to the regulations of the schools where you serve but also refuse to cast reflections on the activities of a fellow teacher.oral agreements well, as those written, refuse to make alibi for and ensure that you are fair and respect the right of others including those of your pupils,” he said.
While congratulating the inductees, Professor Enefiok charged them to be good ambassadors of the profession, Faculty of Education, and the University.Nigeria, the Dean Faculty of Education for their industry in keepingUniversity’s support at all times.said the fifth batch of inductees comprises of holders of degrees ofEducation and Bachelors of Education in various disciplines.
