Paris Saint Germain forward Neymar’s preferred club to join when he decides to leave the French Ligue 1 champions in the near future has been revealed.
According to Sport, PSG are open to selling Neymar and the Brazilian’s preferred choice is Barcelona, although the Blaugrana are not convinced by the move for a number of reasons.
Barcelona’s financial situation means that facilitating a move is extremely unlikely unless Neymar takes a significant pay cut. However, a loan move is a possible option and would be the only realistic way in which the Brazilian international would return to Barcelona this summer. But it remains to be seen whether Barcelona look into this, but it is very unlikely after the La Liga champions missed out on signing Neymar’s close friend Lionel Messi from PSG.
Messi’s contract with PSG will expire at the end of this month and the Argentina captain is set to make a transfer move to Inter Miami.
