Chelsea are blocking midfielder Lewis Hall from leaving Mauricio Pochettino’s side this summer transfer window after rejecting multiple bids from
Hall made his Premier League debut for Chelsea last season.
The 18-year-old has already shown his versatility early in his career as he is capable of playing at full-back and in midfield, which will be appealing to Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe. Despite being given a path to the first team at Chelsea and signing a new contract that will expire in 2030, a departure is looking increasingly likely.
According to the Athletic, Newcastle have had multiple bids turned down by Chelsea for Hall this summer transfer window but have another one on the table, with the Blues wanting at least £30million for the player. The report added that Hall, who grew up as a Newcastle fan and is keen to play for Howe, with the prospect of playing regularly and in the UEFA Champions League.
