Besiktas has confirmed they have terminated Wout Weghorst’s contract, with the player on the verge of signing for Manchester United.Weghorst joined Besiktas on loan at the start of the season, but has now cut short his stay.
United manager Erik ten Hag told a press conference on Friday that the Premier League side are “close” to bringing in the Dutch striker. And Besiktas said in the statement: “The temporary transfer agreement with our professional football player Wout François Maria Weghorst and his club has been terminated by mutual agreement with the player and his club.
“Due to the early termination of the contract by the Burnley FC club, a termination fee of EUR 2,825,000 will be paid to our company.”
