Ghana’s Vincent Torgah, at the weekend, outclassed some of West Africa’s top stars to win the 2023 Lakowe Invitational Golf Classic.

Torgah shot, 74, 68, and 65, totaling nine-under par, which gave him five strokes edge at the 54-hole tournament held at the Lakowe Lakes Golf Club, Lagos.

Chairman of Mixta Africa, Deji Ali, the host and major sponsor of the event, said the tournament has lived up to one of its objectives by being able to pull interest to the facility beyond Nigeria. American-based Samba Niang from Senegal, said he was happy to be back in Nigeria, where his professional golf experience took shape.

Nigeria senior male basketball team, D’Tigers, Wednesday night, defeated the USA national basketball team 75-70 in the ongoing Autumn tournament holding in China .
