SOME top officials of Ebonyi State Government have tested positive to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
This is as the state government on Thursday expressed worry over the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state, which it said had climbed to 75 out of the over 3,000 sample tests conducted.
Although Orji, who spoke through a statement issued in Abakaliki, had hinted that some Executive Council members had contracted the virus, did not give their names, investigation byrevealed that a top government functionary at the Ministry of Finance and a close aide to Governor Dave Umahi had tested positive to the disease.According to Orji, the cabinet members, who tested positive were currently receiving treatment and were in stable condition.
“All civil servants shall work from their respective homes within this period, but shall leave their phones open to respond to official imperatives.
