This follows Adijat Idris’ loss to Ukraine’s Oksana Livach on Friday in the women’s freestyle 50kg event of the wrestling competition.Livach recorded five technical points of two each in the fight which did not go beyond the first period.
This loss by Idris brought to an end Team Nigeria’s competitive involvement in the Tokyo Olympics which ends on Sunday.Ese Brume won the country’s first medal, clinching bronze in the long jump, while Blessing Obodururu clinched a silver medal in the women’s freestyle 68kg event on Tuesday.
