Tochukwu Chukwu: 9th Senate and South-East Marginalization
ve come amd gone but the Presidential election that produced President Muhammad Buhari is still being challenged by his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the election tribunal.
To create a win win situation and to carry all the geo political zones along, there must be fair and equitable share of power, there must be sense of belonging, because elections has come and gone, post elections arrangement cannot be determined by the voting pattern of the just concluded elections. The constitutional provisions is clear on this matter, that Senate and House of Representatives must elect one of its members to preside. Based on that, the South East Zone should not be marginalized again, critical Stakeholders and the President must eschew all forms of ethnic jingoism or political bitterness and do the right thing by exhibiting political maturity which will help to stabilize the government.
