President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with the victims of the Plateau school building collapse, describing the incident as a huge loss to the country.

“President Tinubu describes the unfortunate incident as a huge loss to the nation, as well as a devastating development – too excruciating to imagine. Tinubu praised the emergency responders like the National Emergency Management Agency , the State Emergency Management Agency , security agencies, and everyone involved in the search, rescue, and resuscitation efforts.In a press release by Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Musa Ashoms, the state government has directed all major hospitals in Jos to prioritise the treatment of the victims, regardless of documentation or payment.

The government emphasised the importance of adhering to established safety standards in building construction.
