The Nation Newspaper Tinubu sympathises with Canada over High Commission fire incident
over a fire incident that claimed two lives and left two others severely injured in its High Commission offices in Abuja.
Reports claimed that the fire, which started from a diesel explosion in the High Commission’s generator house on Monday morning, occurred during a repair work on the generator. However, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu assured the High Commission of Nigeria’s support for its staff, who were affected by the incident.The statement said: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sympathizes with the Canadian government, the diplomatic community, and all persons affected by a fire incident which occurred on Monday at the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.
