The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated the new National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the Service Chiefs and the acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service on their appointments by President Bola Tinubu.

Abbas said the appointments of Ribadu as NSA; Maj.-Gen. C.G. Musa as Chief of Defence Staff; Maj.-Gen. T. A. Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral E. A. Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff; Air Vice Marshal H. B. Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff; Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun as Acting Inspector-General of Police were “in the best interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.”

This is according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, titled ‘Speaker Abbas Congratulates New NSA, Service Chiefs, Others.’ Abbas noted that he believed the appointments, which are subject to the approval of the National Assembly, would rejuvenate the security architecture in the country.
