A former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has said that Nigerians should be proud for having Bola Tinubu who knows the nuances of a modern economy as president. Keyamo disclosed this on his Twitter handle, while describing Tinubu as a great economist that knows how to turn things around for better.

According to him: “A new crop of leaders are emerging in Africa that have clear ideas as to how they want their various economies and societies to be run so as to prioritise their self-sustenance and cultural imperatives over and above theories and conditionalities of the Western World and other bigger economies that do not sit well with their people.
Akingbolu in the letter to Keyamo with Ref No SAC/LEG/VOL.02/77/23, dated May 29, 2023, had warned that should he refuse to comply with the"innocuous demand," he would have no choice but to approach the court to compel the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to prosecute him for fraudulently enriching himself with Nigerian taxpayers' money.
Keyamo who spoke at the valedictory session presided over by President Muhammad Buhari to mark the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting, under his administration on May 24, 2023 had said, “Mr. President, the concept or designation of “Minister of State” is a constitutional aberration and is practically not working for many so appointed.
