A group, Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), has asked President Bola Tinubu to order the military and police to totally liquidate armed
terrorists, armed Fulani herdsmen and armed kidnappers killing Nigerians in droves and stop the diversionary gambit of plotting to send military troops to Niger Republic to restore civilian democracy.
HURIWA said Tinubu, who is commander-in-chief should take full responsibility for these security failures and the apparent non-performance of the service chiefs and make it mandatory that within a month all the killings by terrorists of all genres be stopped or the service chiefs including the national security adviser are kicked out.
Onwubiko said only a president who is insensitive will be bothered about the internal affairs of other countries when his own citizens are being wiped off and slaughtered like Christmas goats. HURIWA recalled that it was yet another nightmarish experience for the residents of Heipang community in Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State, as unknown gunmen swooped on the community in the early hours of Thursday, killing no fewer than 17 persons.
