The Minister of Information, Alhaji Muhammed Idris, on Thursday said the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government remains resolute in its avowed commitment to making life bearable for the citizenry, no matter what.
The minister spoke in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, at a town hall meeting on Federal Government's intervention programmes, especially after the oil subsidy removal, at both State and Local Government levels. Represented on the occasion by the Head of the Federal Information and Resource Centre in Ekiti, Mrs.
'We recognize that the removal of the fuel subsidy presents both challenges and opportunities. 'We shall explore ways to mitigate the impact of this policy change on our citizens and also ensure that the benefits of such decisions are equitably distributed. 'Be assured that our goal is to create an enabling environment that supports economic growth and development by tapping into all available social schemes,' he said.
