Nigerian president, Bola Tinubu, has directed the three arms of the military – the air force, the navy and the army to collaborate and end the security challenges of terrorism, insurgency, banditry, oil theft, among others bedevilling the country. The president also noted that the three service chiefs must engage him in “frequent consultations and reports” even as he pledged to embark on reforms of the security architecture.

Others were the Director-General of the Department of State Service , Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency , Ahmed Rufai Abubakar. He said from the meeting, the President showed that a lot more needed to be done in the fight against Boko Haram, bandits, and other criminal elements.
