The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) says multiple crash has been recorded in the Anthony Obanikoro area of Lagos state.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority says an accident involving multiple vehicles took place in the Anthony-Obanikoro axis on Sunday.
Adebayo Taofiq, LASTMA director of public affairs and enlightenment department, said the crash involved a 40ft container, two Toyota Camry cars, and a tipper loaded with sand. The agency said three victims, who were trapped under the 40ft container, were rescued by its officials.LASTMA said the rescued persons were immediately taken to a nearby hospital by their families.
“According to preliminary investigation, the 40ft container truck while on top speed collided with 3 other vehicles including a tipper fully loaded with sand as a result of brake failure,” LASTMA said. Bolaji Oreagba, LASTMA general manager, cautioned motorists to always ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on any journey.
