A pro-Palestinian demonstration is marching through central London, with protesters calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
The event has been organised by groups including the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, with people travelling from across the UK to take part. People could be seen carrying Palestinian flags and placards with message "ceasefire now" and "hands off Lebanon", and chanting "stop the bombing now".Conditions have been imposed to move the counter-protest group back to Trafalgar Square as it got "too close to the main march and well away from the agreed area", the Metropolitan Police said.Separately, pro-Palestinian supporters will walk through the centre of Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.
