The Lagos State Government has commended the compliance of commuters with traffic guidelines issued on the partial closure and use of alternative routes since the closure of the Third Mainland Bridge.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Aramide Adeyoye, said contrary to the fear of the effect the closure could have on the motoring public, travel experience had been smooth and without chaos.She said, “It is heart-warming to note that despite the partial closure and the commencement of repair works on a section of the Third Mainland Bridge, the traffic has been fair and smooth.
According to the special adviser, as part of efforts to manage the possible fallouts of the partial closure, the government has put in place a methodological traffic management plan to avert gridlock.
