The app, which was launched on May 9, 2023, now ranks at number 3 in the news category of the Apple Mac Store globally.Built using Flutter, the app works on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Macbooks, and is available in all Apple App stores globally.TheCable App ranks as one of the top 50 news apps on the App Store for iPhone globally
For the Google Play store, the inclusive app has also made it into the top 100 news apps globally, where it currently sits at number 72.The unveiling of the mobile application took place on Tuesday in Lagos as part of the activities to mark the ninth anniversary of TheCable. TheCable app is the first of its kind in Nigeria with inclusion at the heart of the innovative tool, which can be used by all, including persons with one form of disability or the other.The app, built in partnership with Project Enable Africa, has assistive features to aid persons with disabilities access news, analyses, and fact-checking from TheCable.
