The teachings on “Grace” have been distorted by some people to mean free passes that allow us to sin, with no consequences for disobedience.
For them, grace means permission for sloppy living. They mistaken the grace of God as a licence for immoral living. Apostle Jude warned the believers about ungodly men who have crept into the churches and are perpetrating these misconceptions of grace. Apostle Jude said to them, “I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvellous grace allows us to live immoral lives” .
The Grace of God expects us to reject wickedness, live piously, renounce ungodliness, live upright and deny the impiety and worldly desires. Grace expects us to reject everything and anything that is contrary to God’s will and unacceptable to God. Grace teaches us not to love the world system, no matter how attractive and seductive they may be. Because all in this world systems are lust of flesh, lust of eyes and pride of life. These things are not of God but of the world.
Grace enables you to live a life that pleases God, a life that agrees with the Bible, a life that is submitted to the Holy Spirit and a life that brings glory to God wherever you are. You don’t wait to get to Heaven to live soberly, righteously and Godly life. People around you are going to see it, people are going to acknowledge it and people are going to proclaim it, that God has taken over your life.
