Thanks but no thanks, says Upko veep on Pakatan working with Pejuang in GE15

KOTA KINABALU: Pakatan Harapan should not consider working with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) in the 15th General Election (GE15), says Upko vice-president Datuk Ewon Benedick.

He said the coalition would be better off with other electoral partners than the former prime minister's party.

He was responding to a question about Dr Mahathir’s remark that Pejuang will not work under the"big tent" concept with Pakatan if it is led by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. Pejuang president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir had previously said his party was open to working with parties from both sides of the political divide in Sabah for GE15.

Sabah DAP secretary Phoong Jin Zhe said it was not that Pakatan was reluctant to work with Warisan, but the other way round.
