Tertiary institutions threaten indefinite strike over unaddressed demands
The union maintained that government had over time given deaf ears to its demands; hence, wants to compel it to embark on an indefinite strike action.
The letter dated April 10, entitled “Notice of Resumption of Indefinite Strike” was issued to journalists on Thursday in Jos the State capital on Thursday. The union in the notice also expressed worry over the recent withholding of the part of salaries of staff for the months of February and March, by the office of the Accountant General of the state without tangible reason.
“Consequently, we hereby issue a 48-hour ultimatum to the government to address all the outstanding issues we have put before it.
