Tears as IGP distributes N4.6m to families of deceased Police personnel in Kano
The beneficiaries, numbering twenty nine and drawn from Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states, received their respective cheques, amounting to N40,628,956 million as benefits of the fallen heroes.
According to her, the money would help her to take care of her orphans, especially in the area of education and health. Another beneficiary, Tortyom Mbakaren Theresa, who collected a cheque of over one million naira, expressed happiness for getting the money. “I am a happy person today. I was always thinking on how to take care of my three orphans, but now the IGP has provided succour for us.Earlier in a remark, AIG Sadiq A. Bello said the gesture was part of the deceased officers entitlements, assuring that the remaining benefits would be distributed to them when the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar approves.
