Team Nigeria capped a memorable outing in wrestling as the men won two gold and three silver medals in the Freestyle events on the penultimate day of the 2019 African Games in Morocco.
Multiple African champions Daniel Amas and John Emmanuel Ogbonna won gold, while Soso Taramau , Ebikwenimo Welson and veteran Sinivie Boltic settled for silver medals in the finals held at the Salle El Jadidam Morocco.Amas defeated Gambia’s Cumba Mbal 3-1 in the final, while three-time African champion, while John Emmanuel won his first African Games gold medal by beating Egypt’s Moustafa Samy to win gold.
