FOR Transmission Company of Nigeria ’s Managing Director Dr. Usman Gur Mohammed, it was time to go home on Tuesday.Mohammed’s sack was part of government’s measures to improve power sector performance, Power Minister Sale Mamman, said in a statement.According to the statement issued by the minister’s media aide, Aaron Artimas, the sacked TCN boss has been replaced by Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz in an acting capacity.
The statement reads: “As part of continuing measures to reposition and improve the performance of the power sector in the country, the Minister of Power Sale Mamman hereby announces major changes at the TCN.“Accordingly, the Managing Director of the TCN, Usman Gur Mohammed has been removed from office with immediate effect. He is being replaced with Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz as the Managing Director in acting capacity.”They are: Victor Adewunmi ; M. J. Lawal ; Ahmed Isa-Dutse and Justin I. Dodo .
