Taraba guber: CCP rejects Saturday’s elections, gives reasons
A group known as the Coalition for Clean Polls, CCP, has said the Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly election in Southern part of Taraba State was marred by ballot box stuffing and intimidation of voters.
In a statement by its State Coordinator, Daniel Onche, the group pointed out that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, must remain unbiased by cancelling elections in all the polling units where Card Readers were not used. The group alleged that a member of the Taraba State House of Assembly, representing Donga, Douglas Ndatse Yahaya led thugs to polling units in Dogo, Tongov, and Anannun in Asibiti Ward to seize ballot boxes and load them with already thumb printed ballot papers.
