Tanzania Reopens Universities Despite COVID-19 Concerns

New hand-washing stations were spottily used while crowded lecture halls made a mockery of social distancing, leaving some students concerned. “It’s difficult to sit a metre apart because the course has a lot of students and that means the space is not enough to comply with social distancing principles,” she said.
“We are forced to believe that COVID-19 cases have dropped,” he said, adding that despite the uncertainty, “I need to finish my degree, so there’s no way I can dodge classes.”“I was bored staying home. This is the moment I have been waiting for!” said Salha Juma, adding that he would “take precautions”.
